Terms of Service

QRoll is a free attendance and academic-record tool for teachers, built on Google Sheets and Google Apps Script and maintained by an individual developer, not a company. By signing in and using QRoll, you agree to these terms.

What QRoll is

QRoll runs entirely inside your own Google Account: it creates (or attaches to) a Google Sheet that serves as your private workspace, and every feature — attendance, registers, reports, marks — reads and writes only that Sheet. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what data that involves.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter — rosters, attendance, marks — and for how it is used within your institution.
Your 6-digit console PIN is yours to protect. QRoll cannot recover it without you confirming your own signed-in Google identity (see "Forgot PIN?" in the console).
Use QRoll only for genuine academic record-keeping you are authorized to perform.

No warranty, no service guarantee

QRoll is provided "as is", free of charge, with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. It is maintained on a best-effort basis by one developer, not backed by a company or a support contract. Keep your own copies of anything critical — QRoll does not replace your institution's official records.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of QRoll is not liable for any loss, damage, or academic/administrative consequence arising from the use of, or inability to use, QRoll — including data loss, incorrect records, or service interruption.

Changes and availability

QRoll may change, add, or remove features at any time, since it is centrally maintained and updates reach every workspace automatically. The service may also be discontinued at any time. Your own Google Sheet remains yours regardless — it lives in your Google Drive, not on any QRoll-controlled server, so nothing is lost if QRoll itself ever stops.

If these terms change, the "Last updated" date above will change with them.
